Hey!! You went out so victory already. You may not have matched your intention but you were out. Last night on the banks of the Humber it was like this with rain and I adored it. 1 mile is always better than nothing 😊

Thanks GTFC I just didn’t feel it this morning couldn’t get into my stride or rhythm at all. Wondered if it was because I was running through a housing estate and I thought people might be watching me !!! Although it was 6-45 and not many houses looked awake🤣🤣🤣

We all have runs which are a bit meh, but when you get a run which you love it makes you appreciate them all the more. Think of today’s run as a rehearsal.

Thanks 🙏 I suppose you are right the good runs are really good and bad ones are really bad😧😧😧I think I went out too early for me anyway it was soooooo cold I’ve run on frosty days that didn’t seem as cold as today It was dank with the mist and cold. I just really didn’t get warm and felt that my calves were really tight. Hey ho Onwards and upwards 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Brr 🥶! There’s no “giving up” about this post Scruff. You went out and ran, did a mile and came home. That’s a lot more than I have managed this morning and I don’t have pea-soup to contend with. Every run is a win, especially when it’s been a tough one. Star in my book ⭐️ 😉

Thanks for your support it was just soooo cold I couldn’t get warmed up. I know it’s not thick fog but it did make the atmosphere really brrrr🥶🥶

A 🌟 in my book too Scruff55, my mojo has run off on her own somewhere and the gremlins stolen my trainers 😬 You did exactly the right thing for you today and tomorrow’s another day 🤗

So sorry to hear about those pesky gremlins pinching your trainers and your mojo going on holiday. Hopefully trainers will be returned by the time your mojo gets back from her holibobs. Thanks so much for the support it means a lot and keeps me on track. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

That's not really pea soup. The last ones of those happened in the 1950s, thank goodness!

From the density of mist in the photo, I'd be hesitant to put my car's fog lights on. However, as a runner you'd definitely want to be wearing some clothing that made you stand out against the mist.

It looks cold, very damp and miserable. The important thing is you got out there and you did a bit of running. A mile is a mile. You didn't give up: you made a strategic decision not to continue. 😉

No but it did look worse earlier when I set off as it was much darker. Yes a mile is a short run I suppose I was just sooo cold and couldn’t warm up Inspite of running quite fast at times. Never mind tomorrow is another day

Good for you getting out there. I sat on my backside and felt guilty all day. 🤭 I think its getting hard to decide what to wear now - not quite winter running but a bit chilly on the 'warm up' walk. Next one will be good!

Cold, foggy and dark, but you still got out there and did something, that deserves congratulations. Another runner’s mile in the legs is worth having. 👍🏻
