Hi . I am a lazy poster but feel I owe you all!!For the first time for weeks I got out for what actually felt like my normal , regular Monday morning run. It was a slow plodding run of just 6k around the Town on a neutral grey slightly damp morning and it was PERFECT. Really slow with breathing and legs comfortable throughout, long enough to get the head space without starting to feel tired. I loved every minute.
The last couple of months have been difficult with the sickness and passing of an elderly family member leaving me little energy to run . Reading everyone else's posts has kept me thinking like a runner and I have done a couple of short one's just to remind myself what I am missing. In the past times such as this would have led to me giving up but these forums make the FOMO far too great!
Thanks to all for keeping my head running when my body wasn't!

Nice plodding 6K run for today Week 7, like you I've been off running apart from a few short 3Ks recently, sorry for the passing of a elderly family member but they say running relieves stress, I managed to run 10K this morning, I have now ran at least 1/10K every month this year.
Thank you AlMorr , it was so lovely to just run and leave life behind!Well done on your 10k. I hope to be back to my regular 10k routes very early in the new year . Its a lovely distance isn't it?
It was my 57th 10K, I've been running one a month all this year except March when I ran 2 within a week, my average time is around 1:13:30, slowest this year was October at the Great Scottish Run in a time of 1:19 25, fastest in September in a PB time of 1:07:38, today and the September 10K was very average 1:13:34 and 1:13:31 respectively.
Yay 😁 that's the best sort of run.....the sort I'm hoping to build up to. Sorry to hear you've been unwell and a family member passing is so sad and now you are better running will help xx
🍏 Running in seasons of turmoil, illness or bereavement can feel like the last straw but when we do we realise it’s a gift in disguise. So sad you have had a hard time but pleased for you, that you have found a way through to your perfect Monday Run again… Running is the most awesome gift isn’t it!!
I love this post week7. I'm glad your energy and mojo are retuning. The running will always be waiting, when you are ready, and there will almost always be someone here who understands 😊
This is such a lovely post to read. It’s so hard to lose someone and running can be a positive in a difficult time.
6km is always a nice distance for me….it feels like a chunky run but it doesn’t take too long! Sounds like you had a really great run! Long may they continue ❤️
Thanks. It was lovely. Really looking forward to stretching out to longer runs again very soon. A good old plod for an hour or so is my "feel good" run -it takes 20minutes to get past the "toxic ten"!
