I just want to wish you all a very Happy Christmas over the next couple of weeks. Enjoy the holidays with your friends and families.

You are all an absolutely wonderful and amazing group of people. I know that I would not be still running after 7-8 years if it wasn’t for you guys. There is such a warm, genuine and caring atmosphere here which is extremely special in this digital age. Most online environments are not very nice places. And that’s all down to everyone here.

Congratulations and very well done to you all for your running achievements in 2024. Some of us have lost special people in our lives over the year and some of us have welcomed special new little people into our lives during the past year. Take time to reflect on 2024 and look forward to a new year in 2025 with new running goals.

I had a few highlights from 2024, I beat my parkrun PB, I will have hopefully completed 51 parkruns in 2024, im currently on 47. But my best highlights were going to Southampton with my 15 year old Son, running at Southampton parkrun and meeting up with some wonderful VRB’s on the day and having a lovely post parkrun breakfast.

Have a lovely few weeks during the build up to Christmas and over Christmas time itself. And of course I wish you all Health and Happiness in 2025.

Oh what a lovely meet up that was. So great to see you and Oisin again, having met you both in Bristol 5 years before. Where did that time go?

Your parkrun achievements this year are amazing and I know you have a great bunch of running pals to accompany you on tourist events.

I totally agree that the HU community are a wonderful bunch of people, and chatting on these forums has made running even more fun. Your parkrun post every Saturday morning is brilliant and we are grateful for all the time you dedicate to us.

That will be a lovely way to celebrate your 50th parkrun, on Christmas Day. I should hopefully be doing my 250th parkrun around this time next year.
