The 12 Runs of Christmas part 3

Hoorah! It’s Christmas Day and I have completed the Great Run Solo challenge to gain this beautiful Christmas tree decoration. Yes I got the perfect penguin medal. I had to run 30 miles by Christmas Day to be Tree-mendous! 🌲

I have also managed to complete all the challenges on the Naughty and Nice List (with the support of UptheStanley). So my last 4 runs went like this:

22 Dec. I was a good elf and delivered Christmas cards on a run. ✅ 1.1 km run

23 Dec. It was parkrun day so I dressed up in my reindeer T-shirt and put my antlers on to run 5km. I gave some running gifts to some special friends ✅ and we had a lovely breakfast at the restaurant at the start of our old parkrun start. 5km

24 Dec. Christmas Eve, so UTS and I went to RunWalkLocal. ✅ . We ran the 2km route and then headed for the footpath over the main road to complete some hill sprints 😱✅

12th run completed but 30 miles not yet achieved.

25 Dec. Christmas Day parkrun and I spied with my little eye and saw a Santa, a Snowman and a Reindeer (amongst the many other fancy dress outfits) ✅. 13th run of Christmas and 5k.

31 miles done, and oh what fun it was. Thank you for joining me on my journey.

Now off to visit family, so I won’t be on here or running for a few days. Have fun everyone.

well done Dexy, a tree-mendous effort indeed! A great penguin medal to boot. My challenge was completed on Christmas Day too. My total mileage was 42 miles (so my certificate says I am also tree-mendous!!) but I was not so good on the naughty/nice list, still a few things missing of that (Hill reps, not on your Nelly!) My medal is the elf!

Well done Shakes. There’s no doubt your half marathon is definitely more tree-mendous! I love your elf decoration. I’m certainly not going to be doing RED - I do like my rest days between runs.
