Merry Christmas and here’s to 2020 🎄

I had a long day at work yesterday, which meant I was battling the hordes in Tesco at 7.00pm and the other last minute things I was going to do yesterday didn’t get done. But this morning, I pulled on my running kit and went off in the sunshine for an Xmas Eve 5k trot. I hardly recognise myself and I know I wasn’t the only one from the regular ping of Strava feeds! Mused on the last year as I went round - the fantastic support and encouragement from VRBs on this forum and the wonderful meet ups starting with Southampton back in April, the challenge of the Wild Wine Run, the joy of tackling and beating Lyme Park, a brilliant weekend at the Great South Run. I feel so lucky to have met so many of you lovely people. Half Marathon to look forward to in March 😬 and hopefully many more miles and meet ups next year. Have a wonderful Christmas and happy running 🎄🏃‍♀️🎅🏻

Sounds like you have had a fantastic year. All the best for your ½ marathon, see it's so daunting when typed that small 😉 son In law keeps telling me it's only 2 10ks and a bit but as I've only just managed 1 10k may be a while before I join you. Merry Christmas

And a very Merry Christmas & Happy Runny 2020 to you. 🎉 I was a very, very new runner when you all did the Southampton meet-up, and I felt such awe and amazement that all this was happening almost locally to me and I had no idea! 😳🙃 It was such an inspiration to me. And now you’re holding out that HM on the path ahead... It keeps me trundling along the road, I tell you. 😄🎄
