Another day another 5k

Morning all, another early run this morning, my third day in a row. It was a fair bit slower and my legs were heavy and screaming for a break! πŸ˜‚ So a couple of days of no running after today I think.

Got weighed also today and a small loss of just under a pound moved me to 14lbs (1 stone) since deciding to get back in shape. 46% of what I'm trying to lose...Im now at 179lbs... Getting there! πŸ’ͺ🏻

No plans for rest of day, no work until Sunday (then 6 in a row πŸ‘€) before Xmas break.

I hope everybody is well and having great day!

Happy running!

Thanks OF! Decided not to make a pig of myself over festive period so I don't put it all back on πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ going to continue running throughout the holidays too.

Congrats man - well done for getting out there again. I definitely need a day off in between still at the moment. And well done for getting the weight down - it's always nice when you reach a whole number, will be even better when you're below 14st.

Managed my first 30 minute (W9R1) run yesterday. Managed it but It was a tough one - started off too fast (a common theme). Gonna take it easier on my next run - try and start slower and build speed rather than hit the wall and struggle half way through!!

Enjoy your rest days fella.

Cheers pal, yeah starting slower and building is what I usually aim for, I find I can't finish if my first km is too quick. Down to 13st now and aiming for about 11.5st 🀞🏻 imagine how quick I'd be able to run at that weight πŸ˜‚πŸ€”

Ah well done mate - I thought you said you were 14st, not that you'd lost 14lbs! Thats good going. I was down 7lbs but I'm back up 2lbs this week - I'm claiming that as muscle πŸ’ͺ gain as Ive been working out as well as running!! 🀣🀞

Well done! I'm like you trying to lose a little excess and get back to the weight I was about eighteen months ago.

I weighed myself this morning and was under 80kg for the first time in probably six months. Another 4kg to go…

I have a few holiday days to use up before the end of the year, so will have some long weekends before my main Xmas/NY break. Runs are planned (weather permitting).

Good luck mate, in sure you will get there very quickly!what's 80kg in old money? I know stones and sort of pounds πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

80kg = 12st 8lb

I had reached about 84kg (13st 3lb) over the summer. It's taken about two months to drop that 4kg (just under 9lb).

My target is about 76kg (just under 12 st).

Not fitting into a pair of jeans in late summer was a bit of a surprise.

Yeah snook up on me too, I thought I'd be 13st or just above when I got weighed .... Was super shocked to see 14! I think I was just over 12 last time I was running properly and 11.5 when I met my Mrs. Decided to try to get back to that even though I think that may be a little far for a man of my age. I think the first stone was done right, little by little, however I think every pound after this will be really tough! I honestly wish I'd never let myself quit running after the first time, life/job/laziness just got in the way and was such an easy option!

Thank you! I actually am starting to notice a difference in both fitness and how chunky my body looks πŸ˜‚

It's a great feeling isn't it, during C25k I didn't lose weight but lost 3 inches off my waist just through toning up running 😁
