We've headed to the Norfolk Broads with our campervan and what a fabulous week to choose. Now Mr S64 and I aren't ones for lounging around. Our trips are full of activities, and this one is no different. With bikes on the back, an inflatable kayak squeezed in and not forgetting our running shoes we arrived in blazing hot sunshine. A quick delightful paddle to start off, it's first outing this year, just to remind ourselves how to do it again. Next morning, up with the lark and off for a run. Phew, it's so hot already and I can't go faster than a proverbial slow snail. It takes all my energy to complete 3k, but it's a run ticked off. Today's run (number 4) was sunny but fresher, so the pace picked back up a little and 5k completed. Garmin was so happy with me, not only was I awarded the June run for 10 hours badge but also I was credited with one more on my rating for V02max. So really chuffed. The Kayaking and biking has been really good too. Off to the pub for some food next. Mmm.

Hot and sunny holiday runs
Just fantastic... and what a glorious spot! That pitch has a view!
I miss our tin tent ! You sound to be catching the best of the weather and having a wonderfully, mixed bag of fun! We had sun, but light rain in the evening, up here in the Staffs Moorlands..
Enjoy,... enjoy,.. enjoy !
PS
We are looking at maybe getting a camper van again, sold when small granddaughter was born seven years ago, and replaced by a static at Criccieth! We are getting the urge to wander again! What make is your if you don't mind me asking?
We have an Elddis CV40, it's 5 years old but we only bought it 18 months ago. We love it and the layout really suits us. I love the big side opening door, it's a winner in the summer particularly. I recommend visiting a Motorhome &Caravan exhibition. There's a big one twice a year in Birmingham and probably other major cities too. Then you get a feel for all the different styles and layouts and what might suit you.
What a fantastic location and lovely pics. Our boards had their first outing on the week too, I have a kayak and hubby has a paddle board. It’s nice that I get to go on the creek that I often run alongside. I’m still on recovery runs at the moment as I test my Achilles so I was quite glad of short runs this week in the heat!
Looks like you’re having a glorious week 😊
How lovely to paddle from home. We have to make a special journey to do it. We're having a fabulous time here, I think my arm muscles are just about getting used to it now. Hope your recovery continues to progress well
Enjoy Norfolk. I used to live in Norfolk and loved it very much. Also it's nice and flat for runs 😄
That’s a gorgeous set of pictures! It’s amazing how much of a boost those digital bling badges can be-I got the same one as you yesterday and I had the same reaction!
Sounds like a wonderful holiday and maybe one to have a holiday from when you’re home after all that activity! I’m super jealous. Enjoy!!!
Beautiful photos! Sounds like you are having a fantastic…and very active time! Well done!🙂
There must be something in the air Sax64 , we got our kayak out last week too! We only live a few hundred yards from a tidal river so just carried it there, plopped it in the water and let the tide carry us a km or 2 upstream. We were going to wait for the tide to turn but had been warned it might get choppy due to wind over tide conditions so paddled back. So wonderful to be on the water.
PS I have camper van envy too, used to have one but didn't use it enough
That sounds like a terrific active holiday. And you did have some very nice weather.
What an amazing sky you've captured.
