What fun! so we went for a run, we are sticking with 20 minute runs and NRC has several different guided 20 minute runs so not getting bored with them yet mIts like a ghost town round the industrial estate, the seafront has a market so everyone is there.
Set off gently with Coach Bennett and very quickly it was over, wore shorts with jackets over tee shirts because there was a cool breeze off the sea, soon warmed up and really enjoyed our run.
A few seconds slower than Saturday but whatโs a few seconds between friends?
Home again, avocado and tea for breakfast, hot bath and on with our day.
Oh.... sshh!!! I flipping forgot to do this weeks covid test planning on Friday!!! I wonder how that happened. So Iโm going to log in to my laptop, do the plans from memory and print when i get into work tomorrow ๐

I forgot it was Bank Holiday today so I had a swim booked for 8 this morning. There goes my lie in!Sounds like a great run again - I will have to check out some if those short NRC runs.
Avocado on toast is one of my favorites for breakfast or lunch.
Porridge for me after my swim. The I was still hungry so had a second breakfast if boiled eggs and soldiers ๐
Ooo 2 breakfasts, I never thought of that, I could have toast, i have my avocados on their own, when I was a child my parents had a friend who worked on the ships to South Africa and we often had a tray of avocados in the larder, and sometimes a tray of nectarines it was exciting when he came home from sea with treats
How wonderful that must have been to get all those tropical fruits when you were young. You must try it. Preferably sourdough. Rub the toast with a garlic clove and a squeeze of lemon over the avocado and maybe a sprinkling of paprika. Delicious
Yum sounds lovely, yes we were lucky and we had never seen peaches without fur in this country and laughed and laughed until we ate them they were delicious
Fitted in a quick 2 mile River Walk, before the rain. Iโve been given x3 vaccinating shifts this week, 2 are for โvulnerable groupsโ...should be interesting!
Good that you are enjoying those 20 minute runs! Thatโs what itโs all about. ๐๐๐๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐
Rest day for me and a trip into town with my brother. Itโs been over a year since I last went into a town! We had a coffee and cake outside (but within a shopping centre complex) and it felt so โnormalโ. Bought a packet of high protein seed mix to add to my porridge! Looked round Decathlon. They had some very nice swimsuits as well as all the running and cycling stuff. Obviously mask wearing and social distancing very evident but still a welcome and much needing outing.
Sounds like a lovely morning run- a brilliant way of spending time off_a proper little holiday. I haven't done an NRC run for a while , think it's time for me to revisit .
Let me tell you that it is lashing down with rain in most of the UK today, only the North of Scotland and where you are WillowandSola it is not raining, I was lucky this morning before the rain began I managed a 7K walk.
I am glad that you enjoyed your 20 minutes 'fun run' this morning with Coach Bennett, enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday ๐๐พ๐
Weโve been lucky then, itโs been a lovely day, we went out earlier than usual so the day has felt long, I set up 6 ipads for work this afternoon and did the covid test plan for the week so am a bit ahead of myself already this week which is good
Sounds like another great run with NRC! How did you find running consecutive days btw? Was interested to see you doing that with short runs. Did you notice any impact on fitness at all?
None of the runs felt any harder but definitely each was a little faster, maybe itโs practise makes perfect but then i got a heavy cold curtesy of Willow and havenโt run on consecutive days since but i love the short runs, Iโd never try it with longer runs though although did run 6 days a week in my 20โs and my sister used to run 10k every morning
10k every morning? Wow! I think the idea of short consecutive runs sounds a great idea. Great for establishing the habit again. Maybe I will tinker with this idea - might help to get me into the more regular running habit!
That is what I wanted to do and itโs certainly brought back the how of running Yeah my sister ran a lot of marathons for a few years
Lovely post Sola once again. Hope your bank holiday was good. Iโm out tomorrow again and hopefully going to do another three runs for this week.๐๐๐
