After two days off and a really busy and long day at work yesterday, today was a 'run' day.
Decided to mix things up and try my long run earlier in the week.
I went out the door thinking the run would be what it would be (giving me an off-ramp should the body say 'no') but I would listen to the 6K guided run.
6K milestone achieved. Very chuffed. Nice and slow pace and I found the run to be easier than my last 5K run.
And my fragrant Young Lycidas to greet me on my return...

Last time I did that 6k run it almost seemed like the final km was the easiest, as if everything had fallen into a rhythm and the body knew what it needed to do. You're inspiring me to do some longer runs
Yes, that's right. I totally agree with you about that last lap.
As soon as I got to 5K, I was a bit nervous but the guided run had plenty of distractions from CB. And I felt that I could have continued past the 6K mark.
It was a slow and steady run - except for a few times when we were told to increase our pace for 200 metres - totally doable.
It really gave me a confidence boost that I can do this...
