I haven't used coach B for a while, or even any of the NRC coaches. When I have got out for a run I've taken it so slowly to keep my heartrate lower.I'd wanted to start the NRC 10k plan as soon as I saw it, not sure why because I never stick to a plan!
This morning I felt ok to run, first one for just over a week.
Had a look at the plan, 3k, keeping my heartrate reasonably low that would take a little over half an hour. Decided to incorporate the 5 min warm up in the time, created the workout on the Garmin app, sent it to my watch. Found a playlist and off I went.
I nearly wore shorts because the sun is shining through my windows, glad I didn't! There's a cool breeze and it's 5 degrees.
Coach B chatted, then music played, 5 mins gone and I went from a medium speed walk to a very slow run, checking my heartrate every so often.
I saw crocuses in front gardens, a few daffodils just coming out too 😁.
Got to the half way point, turned around and headed for home.
Legs happy, lungs happy, face a bit red.
Glass of water, 2 satsumas, cup of tea and I'm heading off for a soak in the bath,
