After Friday's blah run I wasn't sure how today's planned 9k would go. I didn't feel as bad as last time but nor did I feel especially energetic. But Coach Bennett talked me through it in pieces, breaking it into 2k, then 1 more km, then we were a third of the way round... This helped, although halfway through I was still feeling: this is harder than it should be. ๐ Never mind, I carried on like an automaton.
Right near the end of the run, Coach B asked me to think of a word to describe the rest of the run. I thought, Triumphant! So I ran triumphantly - and when I hit the end of the 9k of the guided run I thought, "What's another kilometre!?" and I kept going!
I ran 10k! ๐ I'm really pleased - I've learned that even if I don't feel the mojo, I can still run 10k. I can silence the nagging part of my brain that worries "you were just having a particularly good day, that's why you pulled it off." I DID it!

Wow, well done to you ๐ ๐ฅ. I'm following in your footsteps, repeated an 8k this morning, it's just dawned on me that 10k is entirely possible ๐โโ๏ธ
You can go into your event with loads of confidence knowing you can definitely go the distance! Celebrations needed and well deserved right now though!! ๐โโ๏ธ๐๐ ๐ฉโ๐โค๏ธ
