Week 2 had one run left, the 1000 Second Run with Coach B, but I'd decided to skip it and go straight to Week 3. This morning when I went outside to put the recycling out I realised it was drizzling. 1000 seconds vs 25 minutes? Hmm, difficult choice.
1000 seconds is a short run but not too short, 16'40". As I ran I got to thinking about why I am doing the 10k plan, what I want to achieve etc. I'm not training for a race or event, it's purely for my own satisfaction. Skipping runs isn't going to achieve any 'goals' any quicker. There is no time pressure. As the plan proceeds the runs get longer anyway so I've decided I'm going to run each of them, not necessarily in the order given but with one week complete before I go on to the next. It's only an 8 week plan so why rush?
PS I decided to give the NTC 5 Minute Runners Bodyweight Burn Plank Party a miss. It sounds painful π₯π
