Hi running buddies, I haven't posted for a while so here is an update on the end of 2023.
In my last post I mentioned about my parkrun's so far, well not long after that post I managed a 38 minute personal best on the 30th September, but I also injured my knee on my prosthetic side, but luckily it was not a bone injury but the cartilage behind the patella, so after about a month off running and an adjustment to the prosthetic socket I got back to gentle running at the start of November.
My plan was still to compete in the club festive 5 run at the start of December, well I did manage to stick with the plan and completed it in 39:34, I was the last finisher (1st one legged finisher), but there were 2 non finishers so happy to complete it.
Have now started training for the Brighton 10k in early April, I'm using the NRC app, and it's 10k program, this morning I completed week one of the plan and ran my last 5k of 2023, a nice gentle one in just over 44 minutes,(should have been only 4k but.........), so here's looking forwards to the joys of 2024.
Happy new year to all you brilliant runners out there.ππͺπ©βπ¦½ππββοΈπ§ββοΈπ§ββοΈποΈββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπ€ΎββοΈππ₯³ππΊπ₯.
