All the best to everyone for the New Year - yes I like being late 😂
It’s a beautiful morning here in Lancashire following several days of yucky rain. I’ve decided I must have upset my watch 😂. - I’m a complete sucker for stats and tech, Following the end of a 10k coaching program (Garmin Coach) where I successfully beat my target time, I’ve decided to try the ‘Daily suggested workouts’ that are built into the watch. I was going to try this for a month through January however being impatient I started the workouts on 29th December.
So far I’ve had 3x low aerobic sessions of varying lengths from 57’ to 39’ and an anaerobic interval session. All of them in the rain! Woke up wondering what today would bring - nothing, it’s a rest day (and not raining!) the only downside of this I’ve found is the lack of visibility of the next day workout until that morning so makes planning hard (ok whilst off work, but maybe a challenge after the break)
I’ve also signed up for the virtual LE JOG (currently 3 miles outside lands end) and would like to get my 10k below the hour mark (PB currently 94 seconds over).
Not forgetting beating last years HM time later in the year.
Happy running everyone.

Happy new year to you! I’m impatient too-started c25k on dec 29th last year…it must be the official day for us itchy feet people to start New Year’s resolutions! I’ve also got the same 10k goal-I’ve done under an hour in a training run but I’d love to do it in an event. And best my HM time by a few minutes…. great minds think alike?! Enjoy your rest day today.
Really good luck to you! Hope 2023 is an excellent year for you full of running joy! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
A suggestion, which might work on your watch (which looks like a fairly recent Garmin Forerunner model), or might not.
Enter the "run" activity but don't start it. Press "Up" (middle left button) to bring up the options menu and select Training, then Workouts, then Daily Suggestions.
It might show you a list of the workouts it has planned at this moment for you over the next week. Obviously they're subject to change, depending on how it assesses your performance/recovery over that time.

Thanks - yours is a 955 mines the older 945 which works slightly differently unfortunately (and doesn’t have that display - only shows today and not tomorrow). I was debating if I could justify the upgrade 😂
