torch hat?

I’ve just ordered a hat with light as it’s still so dark in a morning when I run, looked at chest lights but usually wear a thin jacket which I end up taking off during the run so don’t think they’ll work for me, what are thoughts on the hats please or any other suggestions?

My sister bought me a bright yellow one last year. I look like a Minion in it, but it does the job. I will probably wear it this morning . I do have a head torch which is also fine and I have some reflective strappy things that clip on. I attached 2 rechargeable bike lights to that. Plus a small magnetic light. As you can tell when I go out early ( not as often as I used to) I like to be seen!

A head torch will probably be brighter and have greater "throw".

It all depends on what sort of places you'll be running through.

For street running, you might want to have some body-mounted lights to make you more visible. (For example, I got given an LED armband light as a Christmas present two years ago.)

For the railway track, it also depends on if there is any other lighting, and how familiar you are with that route. Obviously you'll want to see enough to avoid puddles and stones, but you may or may not have the desire to see what's 100m ahead of you (and that amount of light output would be overkill on lit pavements).

I have both head and chest torches. I use the head torch for off road when I run alone and the chest when I road run or with my running club (don’t want to blind anyone when chatting) 🥴.

Not what you're looking for?
