Short run this morning to try my new chest torch out:

Birthday present from my lovely daughter. It’s a Kalenji one, same one she asked for last year for her birthday. It has three light intensities, can be angled, has a flashing red back light, and uses USB charging. Verdict: I don’t know how I managed without it till now. It was slippery with frost this morning and I was able to see and avoid the worst bits, plus could avoid potholes and uneven bits of pavement and road.

Oh I love hearing about new running gear. None of it was on my radar, nor had I even heard of some of it (“buff”) 7 months ago! That light sounds like a game changer.

Happy birthday shug. Your torch sounds fab! You’re gonna get a lot of use out of it. I’ve done a torch light run last week. It was way dark 👀. I wore my new “winter radiance” tights too. I could be seen from Mars 😃

Oh it’s all hearsay. I was told the other day that there had been muggings on my trail. I think it’s tittle tattle His wife was saying her husband won’t “let” her run on there. I suggested he go with her if he was so concerned 😁.

No specific incidents in mind. Oddly I’ve never really been worried running alone. I go to all sorts of off road remote locations in summer

Honestly I have no idea how I managed without it. Street lights are sparse here and disappear in places, and pavements and some roads are atrocious

Woooh sounds good Flick!! I have only tried the head torch once and I’m not sure that’s for me. I still don’t think it lights the way enough! Great idea!! 😁❤️

This chest torch is easily bright enough. I didn’t want a head torch as I hate wearing things on my head (which is a shame as I vainly think I look cool in traditional hats 🤠 🤪) and I thought it would almost certainly give me a headache ❤️

Oh, that’s good to know. Can’t I buy a bulb and change it myself? And it’s an LED, so will it need changing? Very often anyway. And ha jolly ha! 😂

My daughter asked for this model herself last year because it had good reviews. Apparently it’s unusual for them to have the facility to be angled. Anyway, good luck with your search 😊❤️
