I was really chuffed yesterday, to achieve my target of 60 minutes running. I have been following Juju's 60 min plan. It was a slower run than usual for me but now I've done it I feel I can work on getting faster. I ran yesterday morning with a torch, didn't see a soul on our country lane but felt awful when I disturbed one households dogs! Tell me it is normal to run round lanes with a torch early Sunday morning or am I being thoughtless with people either thinking I'm someone dodgy or upsetting their dogs with my running footsteps????!!

Achieved an hour running, but is it acceptable to run early Sunday morning with a torch around country lanes??
If they don't like early morning barking they shouldn't own dogs or need to train them not to bark! Congratulations on your 60 minute run!
If people are allowed on that lane they have to put up with their dogs barking. It's not your fault.
Itβs entirely normal to run early on Sunday mornings CLR and if you need a torch to stay safe then you need a torch! If the dogs insist on shouting at you, itβs their owners problem to sort out not yours! In fact you did the owners a service - they can now be sure that if someone did try getting in, rather than just running past the door, they now know the dogs would let them know! Happy running!
I believe ju-ju- herself does this every day during the winter, before she goes to work! xxx
Torches are brilliant, your run was grand, well done and donβt worry too much about the dogs, they would just as likely barked at a fox trotting past
Well done you for running down the lanes in the darkπ You are braver than me!
I wouldn't worry. The dogs would probably have barked at you anyway if it had been the middle of the day
I know what you mean. The roads here aren't wide and with pavements that are narrow or non existent but quite heavy traffic. It makes me worry a little about running in the dark. I've bought some high-vis clothing though and maybe if I try it I would get used to it.
