I've found my hill ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Today the colour is green ๐Ÿ’š green trees green grass, I needed the woods today. So, my runs, I need to complete a 15 minute recovery run, but I want to do a hill run!

Decision made, run/walk the 15 minute run that gets me to the field which is steep, five minute warm up gentle run along the bottom but uh oh, now I'm on the side with no shade, so this run is 10k pace, recover then best pace, walk back or run slowly back down in the recovery sections, after a couple of intervals I realised I wanted to get to the other side, I was running in full sunshine, so I walked the recovery sections upwards, turned right at the top and was soon feeling cooler under the trees.

That was so much fun, so slow, but I'd forgotten how much I love running over the Downs, through the woods, seeing across to the sea, I will do this run again, especially as NRC won't save it but coach Blue and I know I did it ๐Ÿ˜

Stay cool and run happy if you can

You have some lovely choices where to run but the shady trees are definitely the place to be at the moment!

The difference from full sun to shade was blissful

Great run for you! Itโ€™s certainly a challenge out there at the moment. I only managed the 15 minute recovery run this morning so Iโ€™m totally in awe of you doing hill repeats! You are a machine!!! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช

Youโ€™re doing ever so well with all of your dedication and hard work, what an inspiration! Thanks. Iโ€™ll use this to get me out early tomorrow for my first slowish run after my hand surgery ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

Good advice thanks. Iโ€™m meeting a running buddy at 7.30 am and itโ€™s a shady route so hoping that the slow pace will be manageable. Itโ€™s really hot today

well done Iโ€™m impressed , you havenโ€™t had many days off from an activity. At least you had a cool off at beach later in day.

Well done Sola ,you are amazing! Iโ€™m so happy for you that you found some joy in your run Trees are just wonderful shade !I too found the shade as I was running this morning not trees , but the hedgerows that were all along my route so for me that was lucky it was just the last part of my run that became more exposed to the sun and heat.๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐx
