Graduated C25K in August … then got married 3 weeks ago … hence lots of celebrating & no exercise! Managed a very hot & sweaty slow 30mins today…. Almost stopped at 20min but just slowed right down. Not sure I’ll ever make it to 10k!! 🙄

Congratulations to you! What wonderful news and a good excuse (not that anyone needs one!) to have cut down on the runs. 💍💒👰‍♀️❤️

It’s so hard in the heat-thirty minutes in this weather is equivalent to an hour in the cool I’m sure! I was practically crawling on my long run yesterday morning.

Don’t worry about getting to 10k-we all have those doubts and we still get there. Just take it one run at a time and aim for consistency. I’ve found when I get out regularly each week, regardless of the length or the duration of run, that’s when I tend to make the best progress. The times and distances can grow naturally-there’s no rush.

Have you thought about joining in with the quest posts? I’ve found them really helpful for staying on track…

I know that feeling! When I got back yesterday morning. I was literally steaming up my glasses and dripping sweat on to the floor. Grim, but I was quite proud of myself in a strange way! We are tough!!! 🏃‍♀️❤️💪

Wanting to be running regularly is half the battle-you’ll get there again. Trust me, after this weather you won’t be the only one who is wanting to get back to a more normal pattern of runs! Really good luck 🤞
