Morning fellow runners, hope you have had a great running weekend.

Yesterday morning I tried a new Park Run at Druridge Bay. 2 laps of the lake in the picturesque country park. A good attendance (about 400), some beautiful weather and despite a couple of uphill sections a good time of 30 mins and 59 secs, my second best time.

In the afternoon I did another 5k, this time a slow stop start affair with the dog, lots of stops for sniffs and wees (the dog not me!!!) but still good to get out again.

Currently sat watching the Great South Run and wishing I was in it!!.

Run happy, run safe.

Wow two 5Ks in one day, good time for the first one, I knew it was the dog and not you for the reason for all the stops on the second 5k.😊

Another excellent run, well done Chris 👏😊

I’m thinking of doing The Great South run next year...10miles is more forgiving than the HM 😊

I think you will do really well in that, I'm doing the Big Northumberland 10 miler on Nov 25th.

Yes it was a Great South Run today, but a bit warmer than usual. We saw the elite runners crossing the line and then moved on to cheer on the club runners and fun runners. We spotted Equi-geek twice and she was looking great.

We’ve watched it most years but this is the first year I’ve watched it as a runner, and spotted people I run with at parkrun.

Well done on your double whammy 5ks.

Well done Chris! Good luck with the Northumberland run in November! It was really warm at the GSR but great fun and it was fab to see Dexy5 and UpTheStanley cheering us on!
