run to the sea

I ran 3 k in a new direction yesterday evening. I ran down the lanes to the sea. Entirely by luck, it was high tide, so the water was up to the flint beach and perfect for a swim. Swam in my running shorts and top for about 10 minutes, put my shoes back on and ran 3 k home across the fields! I started c25k 4 months ago feeling unable to run any distance at all. It was really fun to be able to do this last evening! I’m still not where I’d like to be, but I am definitely making progress, and my body keeps surprising me, thankfully so far in a good way!😁

I’d like to be where you are! It sounds like a wonderful place to be. What a treat to be able to run in such a beautiful place. I bet that swim felt amazing 🤩

Having goals and aspirations is great but don’t forget to enjoy where you are right now. ❤️

Thank you for that reminder. Part of me is always looking around the next corner. But I’ll rephrase that and say I am indeed quite happy with where I am just now! Had 2 out of 3 meals today almost entirely from my garden veggies, which definitely makes me feel good! Tomato soup and courgette omelette… 👍👩‍🌾

Ahhh that looks perfect! I would love to be able to run to the sea! It looked very much like a perfect run and bliss to have a dip in that water before the homeward run back.
