Well as it says on the tin it’s 4 weeks to my Manchester 10 k. I am sure I can do it now , this week I have ran 3 times each time about 5 .5 miles . I could do 10 k in about 58 mins before my recent cardiac troubles now I’m thinking it will take me 1 hr 10 -1 hr 15 depending on weather conditions. I’m better in rubbish weather I have a big cycle coming up before this over the May bank holiday weekend so I’m hoping that helps in a cross training sort of way.
All of you who are training for an event good luck ,and all who are running for any other reason enjoy x

Good luck to you Mollydex! Keep training and you’ll smash it. 👊👍👏
I’m overly excited about the Bristol 10k which is 2 weeks today! 🦋 🦋 Like you, weather conditions make a huge difference, so I’m selfishly hoping it’s back to normal by then. Much as I adore the sun and warmth, it slows me down and I certainly don’t need that! 😅😅
It’ll be my first ever race, hence the 🦋🦋🦋 I’ve run 10k five times, so the distance isn’t bothering me. It’s the unknown, a bit like the first time going to parkrun! 😅
Best wishes with your training. I’ve entered a 10K night run in Dublin for next Sunday night. It will be my first 10K event with an official time. Looking forward to it.
Thank you. It starts at 9pm so won’t be too dark. But the city lights and the river Liffey should be a nice view. It will be a huge crowd. Running in a crowd of over 2,000 people freaks me out a little.
Sounds fab! At the end of the day you run on your own anyway. My favourite race was with 13,000 people and beforehand I thought it would be horrendous but I loved it 🙂
