After giving up work taking early retirement I thought I would have bags of time to fill !

unfortunately my Dads Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia has taken a dramatic down turn. Plus dog sitting and babysitting my Grandaughter life’s been very busy and tough.

Dog sat in Bedfordshire and managed to fit in a few lovely country runs but back home it’s been caring duties and I’m near burnt out , nothing is simple and it’s constant even if I’m not at Dads it’s paperwork and organisation and calls 😱

But yesterday I thought no I’m going for a run, it wasn’t my longest or fastest but it was for me and it has done me the power of good so I’m back on it! My yoga with Adrienne has also faded so that’s next in my hit list.

Shout out to everyone else that’s caring take time for you 🤗🌸

I used to work for the Alzheimer's Society as a telephone friend and loved it; it is a charity close to my heart. I admire people like you very much and you're so right with your headline. Take time for you whenever you can because it's so important...you're so important 💚

Totally agree with GTFC -the Alzheimer’s Society is a fantastic charity. I volunteered with them while I was at uni. They do such good work.

So glad you found some time for yourself on that run. You absolutely need you’ve got going on. Yoga is another great way to rest and recharge. Enjoy your time with Adriene. ❤️❤️❤️

Scuse the terrible writing I've just read my message back 🤭. What you're dealing with sounds really tough, not at all easy to deal with. Sending you best wishes and hope you can balance the rough bits with joy and fun with your granddaughter.

Yoga sounds 👍. I'm doing astanga yoga at the moment which is full on and not very restful! Yoga with Adrienne is probably a very good call!

I might get round to posting a run on here sometime soon. Take care!
