I’m having fun trying to fit into one plan three entities; I will trust in the Magic Plan for getting me to 10k, but I still have the neediness of keeping the NRC coaches in my ear and i continue to have a passion for rowing as a cross training activity!
So here’s a sneak peak of a right-old Frankenstein‘s monster of an 8 week training plan, geared towards the slowest of the slowest, but nevertheless very active runners!
I’m less slow whilst rowing (weight does not make such a huge difference there), but still not very fast.
But this looks like it will work for me as both 10k plans (Magic and RowAlong) are 8 weeks, allowing me to try training for both simultaneously!
I’m up for that challenge, allowing myself to stretch the weeks where I need it (e.g. a week might last 10 days).
Has anyone else created any Frankensteinian Training Plans?

I like the look of this, although I bike rather than row. If you were to put your frankenstein plan on Google docs to share, we could all see where the NRC links take us. I think it's great that you've gone to so much trouble to compile this. I definitely want to do more run training, but it looks like it takes more effort to compile than our lovely C25K plan. I'm currently thinking I'll do Juju's plan starting this week, but I also want the lovely Coach Bennett. Yes, you're right, I do want my cake and be able to eat it. Happy running 🏃♀️ and rowing 🛶
Yes, was planning to put my plan into a Google folder. The only thing I’m weary of is that every few months NRC changes it’s linkage intentionally, and then all links don’t work anymore.
So I will probably will draft the plan with titles only, which of course means that runners have to search for these. It’s a bit of a bummer.
