A little trial run

After managing to see an old friend who is a physio and getting her advice I’ve been doing regular stretches on my left foot /ankle. She thinks it’s a bit of plantar fasciitis rather than Achilles tendinitis and gave a couple of sets of exercises to do each day several times. I’ve been very good and have been doing them 3 times a day so this morning I thought I’d have a little run as a treat/trial and if it hurt then I would walk.

I went off quite cautiously and after a couple of minutes could feel it pulling so slowed to a walk for about 2 minutes. Then I set off again and repeated this 3 times. After this my ankle/heel seemed to be easier so I did a very slow mile and half painfree 👍 which I’ll take quite happily thank you. I’ve done my icing and now just doing some more stretches slowly. I’ll see my physio later today and see what she thinks of my outing. But I’m pleased I got out and atm I’m painfree Happy running one and all and if you’re on the IC rest well and heal quickly.

That sounds better! Good luck with it. Take things steady. No rush 🙂

That’s great news! Pain free runs are just amazing when you’ve been struggling. Really rooting for this to be a long lasting recover for you. ❤️

My physio gives me a fist bump when he’s pleased with me. Hopefully yours will give you the nod later on when you tell them about that run.

she had to cancel as she has Covid but said to take it really slow and keep up with the exercises.
