Hi Runners
After getting a strain at the top of my thigh muscle (Not running, but diving into an unplanned & well underway exercise session π€¦π½ββοΈ), Iβve been out a couple of times intending to test my running stability, but ended up not feeling quite right and doing a precautionary walk for the 30 minutes, rather than run. π₯±π₯±! I did not get the same uplift from the walk, but if needs must! It was more of a stomp than a walk too, because I knew it wouldnβt be wise to run, even though I wanted to ignore it, I couldnβt. Donβt follow one silly act with another! π€«π
Today, Iβve actually ran ππ½. I know...no biggie, but I was feeling frustrated by my own stupidity. I followed the suggestion of one of my great VRBβs and tried intervals to see if that works better (he has a disclaimer, his advice is of course to stop if thereβs any discomfort and just do my walk!) I think I was in all or nothing mode before.
Well, today Fartlekβs were just the burn out my body needed and with a short break in between runs for recovery, it was perfect for feeling that running boost, without pushing too much. 10 intervals in total!! Itβs sort of gross, but it a nice feeling when you get home dripping!!ππ€©
That has added life to my day!! Iβm sooooo glad I went out there!! π₯π₯β€οΈ
