A more gentle Club run

So Monday is a club night! After not running 🏃‍♀️ park run on Saturday and having Jab 5 for covid! I wanted a more gentle run tonight! My Garmin was telling me off last week for over cooking it!

It’s now happy that my training is productive!

so tonight’s run was a smaller group three of us have asthma and sometimes struggle with breathing when running but tonight all good!

We left the school and headed up the road towards the main road then down the road with a small loop to let the others catch up then on to the footpath past the children’s playground and through the woods! I actually had not run the whole way through this route! So was a bit of a magical mystery tour! There’s a little stream which runs by the path which bubbles along the side of us!

at the end of the path it comes out on a hill! We all walk up the hill as one of the ladies is struggling with knee pain we decided to make the run a little longer and make it just under 5k we were chatting about my running buddy who is having a few weeks brake as she has a new rehomed dog plus she managed to shut her thumb in a car door on the last day of her holiday and breaking it! Her daughter in law was running with us! So we had a lovely chatty run! Much nicer as it was much cooler night!

Sounds like a lovely, exploratory run! (Buddy’s broken thumb sounds wincingly painful, though! Sending healing wishes! ✉️🤕)

it really does and when I am working I can get to it as I finish at 18:30! It started as a one man band with one club now they have many clubs throughout Kent our one being the original! They run 3 beginners courses each year Winter Spring Autumn!

They offer a steady 5k a speedy 5k and a longer 7k plus T10 courses twice a year!

Lovely friendly bunch
