Met up with a friend for a nice gentle run through the woods tonight. Friend brought a friend from her local running club, and that friend brought another friend who is visiting her. It was nice to be able to just chat as we ran through the woods, she with her Husky cross, and me with the daughter's Beagle, especially after the insanity of Monday's Canicross session:
One of the leaders put her foot in a hole after only 5 minutes and had to hobble back to her car with one of her dogs while I took charge of her other one.
And my brand new socks developed a hole in the toe about 1k into the run and I ran the rest with my toe rubbing the inside of my shoe! It didn't hurt at the time, but I did actually rub the skin off it π

The twin layer things? I can't wear them, I accidentally bought a pair years ago - pre running, but walking miles a day - and one layer got a wrinkle in it and I got a blister.
I run trail rather than roads and parks, and on the runs that I now know are going to be particularly wet, muddy and gritty, I smother my toes and heels in Vaseline.
