Hey everyone

So last week I volunteered as a I always do but rather than a barcode scanner I was a tailwalker, I took it nice and easy and really enjoyed it.

This week I did it again BUT not as a volunteer, I took part I walked a 5k

So proud of myself

Well done to you Valentina98 on volunteering as tailwalker at parkrun and walking 5K, you deserve to be very proud of yourself 😊, two weeks ago I also volunteered at parkrun and today I ran at the same place, my tailwalking time two weeks ago was just over a hour, today my running time was just over 33 minutes, do you fancy running at parkrun anytime soon? , you don't need to be fast, just take the run slow and steady as is advised on this forum, good luck ✅👍

I also used to run the parkrun but when I had my heart attack I stopped I was just thinking about starting again when I had my cardiac arrest so I've been volunteering since September

I'm planning on running again but I'm not ready yet.

Sorry about your cardiac arrest, make sure you get a doctors clearance if you wish to start running again.

Absolutely fantastic news! You must be mega proud of yourself. That’s a huge step forward. Just keep it steady and going at the pace set by your cardiac team-they’re the experts! Celebrations of how awesome you are are definitely in order ❤️🏃‍♀️💪
