So in the end it was just the two of us who set off. We used the Park and Ride which ran very smoothly and dropped us off right by the event village. Toilets and bag drop sorted we then headed off to the Green wave.
I ran this event a few years back and the course has changed a little. As cheekychipmunks said, Bristol has a few little bumps along the way, which were mostly okay, although there was a hill just after 7k that I could have done without (dig deep Sandraβ¦youβve got this!) Also, Bristol has a lot of cobbled streets!!
Support on the course was great and despite flagging a little, that glorious finish line soon came into view!
I finished in 1:08:35 which was pretty much what I had expected, although I would have liked to have been a little closer to 1:05, if Iβm honest!
Great day out and now revived after my magnesium bath!π

Congratulations to you! Great run report too. I was tempted for next year and maybe thatβs sealed the deal!
Sorry about your sister. Sending good wishes her way. Hope that bath was a restorative one and youβve got some serious celebrations to do! πββοΈβ€οΈπͺπ ππββοΈ
1.08 is nothing to be sniffed at, itβs a great time. πππ Well done, and I do hope your sister recovers soon. I still recall vividly the time a few years back when my back went early in the year. π£ Itβs horrible.
Great run for you, despite the disappointment of not running with your sister...hope her back is easing... I empathise... I got a back tweak Friday morning which worsened so much that I could not run Sunday. I am hoping for end of the week!
Your run sounds so much fun and interesting too... that little hill testing you and you winning through!
