Thanks for the Ghent tips on my earlier post this week! I followed the advice on running along the canals and had a great run, I veered through an interesting looking arch which led into a lovely old graveyard where I looped a bonus km in.
After a twingey knee following my first 9k I have been worried about getting back up to distance but I managed 7k fine today.
I appreciated the holiday runs- at home I struggle with putting pressure on myself to run faster or longer every time and I didn’t have any of that pressure on holiday. I didn’t know routes or roads so I acccepted my time would be slow if I went the wrong way, down a awkward road or stopped to take pictures!
I need to bring some of that attitude back. 😌

hi ReyC …sounds just perfect…no pressure runs are just the best…& holiday runs are amazing because, just like you, they take you places you don’t know and often reveal lovely running places with every step!!!
Put some of that in your suitcase when you pack to come home 😉
