TIA 😁

Was there anything that made you suspicious? If in doubt, follow your gut (unless of course people on here can vouch for the company)
Thanks Yesletsgo. Everything was in dollars, yet p&p was quite low. Continuous emails saying I'd left something in my basket and offering a bigger discount. Some of the comments were excellent others the opposite. Yes my gut warned me hence the shoes were still in the basket 😁
That does trigger my Spidey senses, too. Other things to look out for are the names of their shipping companies (EMS is a big flag that the firm is really in China) and the shipping timescales. No phone number or postal address is a major one too.
A lack of VAT number (or for a Ltd company or plc, the company number) is a minor mark against. Many firms forget this.
I’ve not used that site but if deals are too good to be true and ALL sizes are available that’s a giveaway too. I sometimes use sites like trust pilot to check but they aren’t infallible
Some good info here on which/ consumer if you google ‘how to spot a fake website’
Some good online sports outlet stores I’ve used are 365rider and sportspursuit both with cheap shipping all the way to NZ. You just have to be prepared to wait for things to arrive.
Have Google them,or any reviews apart from Facebook 😱
Thanks CH951 and Southern runner. I guess this reviewer on Trust pilot saw the same advert as me
I never trust sites on Facebook as a rule. A lot of the ads people see is a result of the sites they visit in general. A guideline would be to never agree to cookies on a site you visit. If you can't do that then go to options and turn everything you can to off. Most sites will show them in an off position which is good, so all you need to do it press accept selection. The amount of things you agree to if you just press accept is frightening... Also, Google and Apple are always listening and will listen to keywords they hear and then show you adverts based on this.
