Weirdest thing. Someone started following me awhile ago then today I received a Nigeria-style request for money (in a private message) along with a long story about cancer, bereavement etc.
Has anyone had similar?
I’ll report it but the author mentioned they would be closing their account now they’d found special ole me.
I’ve not had this happen, but thanks for the warning. I guess all such sites with private messaging options are going to sadly be prime targets for scammers...😔❤️
Just received one this evening and it is the second one since joining this forum. Is there a way to block private messages?
I think somewhere on the homepage of healthunlocked there is a tab that you can report scam, but it's much quicker just to delete it immediately, like a phone call I got today after I got back from running my second 5k. They did not ask me for any money but once I told them I did not have a online bank account they just hung up.
At the bottom righthand cornernof the message are three dots.... click on and report.
Hi Millsie-J, thank you for your reply, however, at the top of my new Smartphone on the top right-hand corner there are three vertical dots, if I tap on them I get 7 drop down menus, the 7th being Report Scam.

Yep, received that message too. It happens now and then, but the admins react really quickly once it’s reported.
