Just seen this on FB and it resonated with me ☹️. Annoyingly you need to tap on the pic to see the full post.
Hope you guys are enjoying the slightly fresher cooler weather. We had nearly 2 hours of decent rain here today. The Weather App said between 11 and 1 and it was spot on!!!
Happy running !! 😁👟

Oh perhaps it’s on it’s way??? Yes it is . If I was on 2 weeks holiday it would have flown but I am going stir crazy. The worst of it is every way out of where I live, in all 3 directions, is uphill and then downhill, and obviously the reverse on the way back. And neither are easy on crutches. I’ve been walking round and round the house and garden and just round the block of about 20 houses but cannot manage to go any further.
Tomorrow I’m going to venture down the end of the road and through the school and try to get to the bus station , then I’m going to visit my friend, who keeps alpacas , for the day. She says she’ll pick me up from the bus stop at the other end.
Not much I can do on holiday really except lie around in the sun and I can do that here 🤣🤣. I can manage 2 more weeks and then the boot comes off and I can start walking places taking it gently. I’m just impatient to be running again now I’d got to 10k, I was all set to do regular Parkruns etc.
Oh well....lots of people would be glad to be lying around doing nothing in the sun all day so I shouldn’t grumble.
Im just used to being active and couple that with having only recently retired I am finding it hard
I'm sure. I've been reall frustrated when I've had injury spells that have stopped me running - but at least I was able to do other things. I just read some of your recent posts and they did make me laugh. I was on crutches a coupe of years ago and the whole cup of tea thing - I remember it well! All I can say is that once you're running again this will seem like a small blip, but I know that's not very helpful just now Hang on in there and don't lose that great sense of humour
