Christmas Day run

Due to injury and problems with my breathing after having COVID over the last 6 months, I decided to start C25K again. I am now on week 7 and after completing 2 runs decided to run the third run as a 5K. I was absolutely elated to complete my 5K run in what I considered to be a good time for me.

I am now sat down watching telly after consuming my Christmas dinner feeling very smug and believing I can get back to 10K runs again.

Week 8 starts Tuesday with a 28 mins run which I will stick to and see after the 2nd run whether I want to do 5K again for my third run but if not I am content to complete the third run as a 28 mins run.

Having been a runner for a while and suffered injuries i am fully aware that steady is the best policy.

Merry Christmas everyone and happy running

I'm sure you will, if I can you can and at a much better pace than me, I'd run further more often but it takes such a long time.

My Christmas Day run was my first ever. Just a short one but wonderful nonetheless. Definitely a new tradition started.

There were stacks of runners along the Portway yesterday. I think they were all going for the post Christmas dinner run! Felt a bit smug to be on a rest day (even though they did all look like they were having a great time!).
