One of the things that’s kept me going of late was the prospect of doing a lovely 5K run on Christmas Day, greeting other people and glorying in the lovely feeling of communing with the bit of nature we have round here! However, yesterday we went for a dog walk, most of the time spent slipping and sliding. It’s another frosty morning today, so I think it’s just going to be too dangerous to try and run. My wife, anxious at the best of times, worries about me coming a Christmas cropper. So it’s the treadmill for me. Not quite what I had in mind. So disappointed, I can’t begin to tell you. I’ll still take the dog, but it won’t be quite the same. Anyway, a Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope some of you manage a lovely Christmas run.

Christmas Day run disappointment
Merry Christmas and treadmill is good, at least you won’t slip in the mud and ice
For some unknown reason I never saw your reply at the time. My sincere apologies. You must have thought me so rude! I’m not really.
Hey no worries, how’s it going?
Very well, thanks. A couple more treadmill runs during the cold spell, but some lovely runs of late in the lovely weather. Also 70+ miles along the End to End Pennine Way, but that’s a combination of runs and walks. Hope all is well with you.
Merry Christmas to you Kipperrun, your wife and dog, you are very wise in not running outside in icy conditions and running on your treadmill.
For some unknown reason I have only just seen your reply. You must have thought me so rude. Thanks for your good wishes. I bit too late to return them to you!
