As I run on weekdays after work, it is already getting a bit dusky when I run. Because part of my route is on a bike path between a dark forest and a speedy and busy car road, I thought to make myself more visible.
Plan succeeded I think? A red light on my arm, 4 white lights on my chest and 4 red lights on my back. And they can either be on or flickering. A true running christmas tree if I say so.
I think in combination with my hydration vest, I am thé most overdressed runner in the neighbourhood. All other runners that I see are dressed in sweatpants and a shirt.
Just did a 5K (43 mins) in this gear. Though I did not turn on all the lights all the time. It is not dusky enough for that yet.
Must admit I almost look the same on my early morning dark runs, only difference is that I have gone for a Provis running jacket ! Better to be seen, than not ! And to think I nearly didn’t buy my first pair of running trainers as I thought the green colour on them was a bit bright ! 😂
