Today I joined the ‘Southsea crew’ in a run for Tim along a windy Southsea seafront. After a few days of high winds and tides our normally flat Parkrun course was covered in shingle and sand in places, making it unusually awkward for running, even at my slow place. It was a walk/run morning but I just plodded on and, yes, with a smile! And in true Southsea style there was a beachside breakfast to follow with Dexy5, UpTheStanley, JonathanP, Coddfish and Mr C. I didn’t know him but Tim always had the right words to help on those C25K runs that didn’t go quite according to plan. And he continued to guide and help long after that. Like so many others, I was very sad to hear about his death and send my condolences to his family and friends but he won’t be forgotten - how could he be when so many of us have his mantra “keep running, keep smiling” running through our heads every time we lace up our trainers! Thank you Tim.

Lovely fitting run for Tim OGR, sounds like you had fun and plenty of smiles.🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♀️🚶♂️🚶♀️xxx
A lovely tribute 😀 with sadness we miss his comments, inspiration and advice but with gladness we remember his wise words
How wonderful to be able to share your run and smiles with others from HU while remembering Tim .
Great to see you back running at parkrun Oldgirlruns, and at least those pebbles gave us a good reason to walk. Tim would have approved.
a beautiful tribute and a lovely run.
I can feel the buzz from across the Solent. Such a grey day today so in my Tim's post I used Friday's pic of the glorious sunset. However today I did take a photo looking across to Hurst Castle, a photo I've taken countless times and never yet caught the lighthouse blinking. But today I got it, first click, how amazing is that, a beacon of light in the gloom. Not many could appreciate it but I guess Oldgirlruns you just might. You have to look hard !
Lovely post. You're right - Tim always knew what to say to help us all along x
A HU meet-up was very much in the spirit of this special commemoration OGR.
