I am unable to go out for a run tomorrow, so I wanted to dedicate today’s run to Tim.
It was a good, dry, coolish morning, my beanie hat and gloves were keeping me warm and my music playlist was bouncing me along. And I was jeffing, with 90sec running, 30sec walking, as part of my return from a calf strain.
I was thinking very much of all the things Tim must have mentioned in my three years of being part of these forums:
- jeffing, run walking, slow running, short runs, all is ok,
- slow and steady, mostly at conversational pace,
- enjoy the journey,
- be patient with your body,
- and smile.
Running is like life, it has its ups and downs. We stumble and we fall, and we get up and carry on. This journey takes us to places where we’ve never been before. Some of us run far, others slow. Some with music, some with nature.
But I think that probably all of us, who have made running part of our lives, feel that joy that Tim so often expressed in his posts…
So keep on running, keep on smiling.
