i have a day off today and had planned another 2.5k "Get back into it run" followed by a flu jab
however, not much ever goes to plan
i was in the pharmacy late afternoon yesterday and asked the pharmacist what time his walk in vaccination would start on Tuesday he told me 10:30 and then said but I can do it now if you like
I accepted but
wondered if it would affect my run this morning.
I actually felt ok, just a slight headache this morning following a poor nights sleep
it was quite cool as I went out around 08:30 so wore running tights and a long sleeve zipped running top , and of course my new running shoes 😁
actually, there not a lot to say about the run, it was fine.
I'm still way off from where I used to be but I accept I am where I am and I will take as much time as necessary to regain my former fitness .
for me it's all about fitness and enjoyment.
not distance, pace or numbers .
in fact I didn't even look at my watch until i knew I was near the finish line .
as I knew this would be about a 20 min run I decided to listen to one of my favourite Pink Floyd tracks 'Echoes'
this track is around 24 minutes, in fact it's what I listened to on my c25k week 7 runs.
so run done , back home for porridge and a mug of tea .
After post run stretches of course !
Heres the track if anyone is interested 😁
