One or 2 Gremlins around this morning !
Actually, Chinese Gremlins ! 小鬼
I woke up at 6am and went to make some tea, I decided to take it back to bed .
I started to chat to a Chinese friend in Shenzhen (on WeChat) they are 7 hours ahead !
I said I was going to go for a run and she said it's early there you can sleep more , it's weekend!
It certainly got me thinking, I was very tempted 😁
I drank my tea and we chatted for a while and I decided NO ! I won't sleep again ! and I got up around 7:15
I couldn't decide what to wear and eventually settled on the tights a long sleeve top with a very light Hi Vis jacket .
Dynamics done and
I was out of the door around 07:50
I decided to go with the NRC 40 Minute run as I knew this would be around 5k for me , actually, the NRC 5k is ever so slightly less than Garmin's which I will finish by .
There was a slight misty drizzle in the air on my warm up walk which actually disappeared as I started the run .
It felt comfortable as I set off with a nice slow easy pace to settle in .
The tights felt ok but I could have easily gone in shorts as I started to warm up around 1k
Slightly downhill now through the village and let the pace pick up a little on the 2nd K
Around the corner and up the hill towards the church , still feeling good but no idea what my pace is as I'm not watching the watch .
At 3.5k I knew 5 would be comfortable as still feeling good .
Running towards the rising sun now where I took the picture , it was actually difficult to see where I was going at times.
NRC Run finished but Garmin was quite a few seconds behind so went with that .
5K done , back home and stretches done tea made and porridge eaten 😁
Misty the cat is still sleeping in exactly the same position as when I went out ! 😁
