Short Tale of two runs

The penultimate week of my 8-week NRC 5k Training Plan almost done!

Today I took two NRC runs back to back:

First the 25min recovery run (Stress Free Run) as a warmup….. ( nikerunning.app.link?%24ran...

Then a tempo run (Ten Minute Tempo Run) where I pushed my ultra slow joggle to just  a slow joggle. But I really felt the bounce and arms driving. ( nikerunning.app.link?%24ran...

Only run left is a hill run, and my hills are all ready and prepared. Last time I ran a hill run was before my metatarsal injury in October last year, and I loved that one. So really looking forward to marking this as another come-back/come-forward occasion.

Next week is the last week of the program, and after that I’ll be on my way back to 10k with the NRC 10k plan.

 Can’t wait!

Happy running, everyone!

Sounds like it’s been just what you needed to get up and running again. I feel the same way about the HM programme. Enjoy your hill run. There was a great one as part of mine a few weeks ago. I wonder if it’s that one. Good luck! You deserve another graduation badge!
