Well, this morning I did run my 5th run in the NRC February playlist, and finally got my badge!
I’ve not followed these monthly or themed playlists on NRC before, but I do like the concept. It gives a bit of a focus, not as much as a training plan would, but not as lose as just running any type of run.
There seems to also be a great mixture of short runs, recovery runs, tempo runs, Intervall and hill runs. So it keeps your running quite varied.
I will have to decide in March if I’ll jump onto the 10k plan or do another themed list …. Oh, choices! Choices!
Anyone else doing the monthly playlists?

well done. I do the Garmin connect with badges plan 5 km walk which finishes today. 300000 steps this month think on target to finish. And some on Strava as well. And the 1000 mile challenge which keeps me moving . At least it gives u an incentive.
I often do these playlists. I find them helpful as a starting point when I’m in the “I want to run but I’m not sure what to do” mood. I’m following the HM plan but since I’ve done it before, I sometimes swap a run or two for a similar playlist one to mix it up.
I love a badge! I’ve also had to do more than four runs sometimes to get it. I think if you do you run as part of your plan, it doesn’t always count towards the badge, or if you’ve done it before it might show as a tick but not during the playlist time period so doesn’t count. Thats just my ideas about it rather than anything official from NRC!
Yeah, I have a feeling you’re spot on with those glitches. I think I did one of those Feb runs in January, and it showed ticked in the Feb list but must have not counted towards it.
That’s interesting CBDB I’ve seen those on NRC but haven’t tried any of them (yet). I’ll maybe give it a go starting next month. As I run every day (it works for me!) I’m sure I can find a challenge that suits my runs 👍
Yup, my exclusive badges are mingling all now in the “My achievements” section! 👍🏽🙏💪🏃♀️🤸🏼♀️🤸🤸🏾♂️
The single event badges, like Sunday runs or 1 mile run, don’t get me as excited as the series badges. I love being nudged to do a number of runs.
But I do love single seasonal badges, like New Years Run, April Fools day or Halloweeen. I just love celebrating the seasons, also with some themed runs.
I haven’t seen the playlists but I’m going to investigate. It may keep me going while I’m waiting for my running buddy to return to the HM plan. Thanks 👍🏻
