This morning I ran with NRC Coach Bennet, 6.4km / 4 miles with his “Four Mile Run”.
Great weather. Discovery of more brambles, hazels and plums, but I ran by. Now it’s evening, still quite tired legs, but happy self.
My mnemonic hooks from this morning's run:
Hook 1, the T: Coach Bennett told me how to tie my shoelaces. Mhm. 😏
Hook 2, the S: Coach Bennett told me how slow dancing could teach us something about slow running. “Nobody thinks slow dancing is less dancing, right?” And he also talked about his secret dance moves!
Hook 3, the bras: Runkeeper told me: “Get a move on! I’m not your mother!” 😂😂😂 I got my move on. Joggled on.
Hook 4, the number 4: the numerous ways why a 4-mile run is special. In short: just long enough not to exhaust the runner in the week for speed runs and hill runs still to be on the agenda. I fear they are still on mine, as well. My legs, though, tell me this was quite long enough! What do they know? Tomorrow is another day!
Hook 5, box: breathing. By the 5th km, tread softly, and float. How? Focus on your breathing!
A great NRC “Four Mile Audio-Guided Run” I can recommend. Link at

Happy running everyone!
