With being up for work through the week I usually like a lie in at the weekend, but this morning it was either early or not at all! Those of you in the UK and most of Europe will know why 😓☀️🌡
Set an alarm & was up & out at 7.30am...fell lucky and the route I took was mostly shaded too, as though it hadn't quite reached 20 degrees the sun was already shining proudly! Lovely morning run, passed lots of fabulous friendly dog walkers taking their pooches for a cool walk, must try to do this more often 😊
I know some of you early risers will think this was a late start 😆...hope you all enjoyed it, whatever time you ventured out 🏃♀️🏃♂️

Great start to the day. 22 degrees at 9am, it's been crazy...although it is nice to get out early, which I'm not great at doing unless the heat forces me, I'm looking forward to the cooler weather coming tomorrow 😊
Well done Run46 I’m aiming for a run of up to 16 miles tomorrow morning with friends from running club🏃♀️🏃♂️. We know it’s going to be hot 🥵 so the plan is to start off at 6:00am if we can🤞 It won’t be fast or pretty and I’ll be taking plenty of water 💦 - hydration vest, bladder and bottles. If I’m in the area once the run is finished, I’ll go for a paddle in the sea 🌊 I’m so lucky to be living by the seaside 🏖
Hi David, did you get your 16 miles done?...ridiculously early as it is I think around 6am would be spot on, still warm but you'd be done by the time the silly heat kicked in!
Hi Run46 I managed 15.6 miles, so nearly 16! It’s my longest distance ever so I’m pleased with that. Starting at 6:00 am definitely helped and I bought an ice cream to celebrate when I’d finished 🥳
Well done! I had a 730 run the other day and it was still hot at that time! The shade bits were lovely and I really wanted to stay there but that wouldn’t have got me very far 😂😎
I just can’t lie in - body clock is just 6am every morning. If I didn’t work I’d be out very early to run as I have the most energy then - I don’t like running after work, too tired. Do you run after work?
And I thought 7.30 was early, I'd be too tired after work if I got up at 6am too 😆 Yes, in the week I go after work or at the weekend I go in the morning...must admit I do prefer a morning run (usually not until after 9am though), it really puts a spring in your step & sets you up for the day 👍
An early and fabulous start to a sunny Saturday. I took a photo of the sunrise somewhere around 6am, then went back to bed. Wish I had been a little more committed! 👍💪
Haha, do you mean you got up to take the photo then went back to bed 😆
I have to admit that everytime the hot weather forces me to get up for an early run I love it & tell myself I'm going to do it more often...but I don't coz I just love my bed 😴
