Many of my VRBs know that Iβm a bit of an unruly impulsive runner! π₯΄π And itβs taken time to master that βskillβ! ππ
But...I can honestly say that it has been a big part of my version of success. You see, itβs not about how far Iβve run (so far) or how fast or even where I run....itβs simply that I run and I havenβt given up. My motto still stands strong, βOut there, donβt care!β. ππ½ππ½ββοΈππ½ππ½ππ½
I have felt a little sluggish these past few days, despite my daily exercise routine. Probably the situation weighing heavy on my mind at times and feeling that in my body. But...the thing that keeps me going is that spur of the moment nature πͺπ½. Itβs the thing that got me up this morning, straight into my running gear and out the door for a long walk and then a short run!! π€π!
I had my usual comforting thought challenge this morning...pulling on odd socks π. I was going to stop and change them, but then it reminded me of how unusual life is at the moment and I decided, they were just perfect!!ππ½ Letβs go!! π₯π₯π₯
Haha ππ I love the imperfect socks! Reminds me of the day many moons ago when I got dressed in the dark and it was only when I got off the train and looked down at my feet that I saw I had mistakenly put on the brightest colour purple tights you can imagine ππ I mean that fluorescent shade .....π³
That sounds, and looks like, a lovely run. Happy running is what itβs all about πββοΈππ
Thanks so much Irishprincess!! π€π€ Iβm off to a happy start for the day!! Nothing wrong with fluorescent purple tights really! π²π! Iβm sure they brightened up the day!! π€π€πβ€οΈ
Every single time you step out of the door like this you are victorious. ππ
Yay! Great to see you out there more regularly again Fab! We all really need this at the moment I think, and what a treasure it is. I love the odd sock philosophy, I wish I didnβt have all the same running socks now as itβs a great idea! Happy running Fab π€πππ½ββοΈππ
Thanks so much TailChaser!! π€ It certainly made me smile when I looked down! π²π The other non-matching ones will no be waiting together! π€£π€£β€οΈ
πYou are really fabulous especially in your mismatched socks & you sum up how so many of us feel about just being able to be out there running. πLove the photos π
Excellent pics Fab. πTwo socks the same pattern but different length happens to me a lot. Always reminds me of the old joke my Dad loved to tell. "Do you realised you're wearing odd socks?". "Really? You know I've got another pair just like these at home".
My running partner is very fancyfree, don't care as well and it has helped to relax me a bit and go with the flow better. It has stuck with me even though we haven't been able to run together for over a year. My schedule following rule follower attitude has helped to bring some structure to her life. We're a great pair and I longingly look forward to the day we can finally get out for that run together. It may not be until we run our HM race virtually that has been cancelled in June. Another thing to look forward to.
Don't change a thing. You are Fab for a reason! Enjoy your footloose and fancyfree style!
Thanks so much Ang3333! I certainly will! Glad I went out early too. Itβs been pretty hot today!!π€ Hope you are all doing well too! Stay safe!πβ€οΈ
Thanks so much WillowandSola!! π€ Iβm trying an array of exercises daily at the moment. Itβs been quite nice to do that and see what I like. But I always consider running as being part of what I do!! Thatβs pretty cool! π πβ€οΈ
Fab strikes again! Lovely photos & oodles of motivation shared for us all. Hope you have a good week and manage a run between the showers (if the forecast is right?!) π
Thanks so much Slinkymalinki!! π€! Yesterday I did my early morning exercise session, as the mission was to complete the weeding of the garden and put some lawn treatment down ready for the rain. Worked perfectly. Iβm in need of a rest & recovery day today!! πβ€οΈ
