This morning both our alarms went off at 7 am because Willow is children sitting and needs to leave about 8am
I was supposed to be at work at 8am but apparently we are so short staffed this evening it’ll benefit everyone if I work a late shift!! ooooo what shall I do with my morning then?
A browse round here leads me first to an old post Oldfloss wrote on the Strength and Flex site, please go and look over there, such good advice. But….. I’m sure I can’t stand on one leg for 15 seconds let alone do calf raises and squats one legged squats while doing so.
So then I found a post called run on….. by Instructor57 with a video link that I started and turned the sound up, then stood in front of the mirror admiring my tan and standing on one leg, wobbling about, I managed 10 seconds i the left and 7 on the right before having to lightly put my hand down, then squats on one leg then calf raises, now I’m nicely warmed up let’s get the ear buds out……
I’m not even going to write anything about them, yesterday they were a good buy, today a waste of money stupid stuttering bluetooth, and look even more like hearing aids than ever…..
So I went on my own, set the watch off, walked to the end of the road and ran, free and happy and hey, my breathing doesn’t sound too bad. It’s hot so I stuck to side roads mostly under the shade of a few trees, I planned 10 minutes out and 10 minutes back but at nearly 10 minutes I took a left turn and joined the main road to make a just about 20 minute loop.
As I reached home I had a minute to go so I crossed the square and into the park we never run in, stopped me and the watch, turned around, cross the square again, stepped onto the grass to let 2 children pass, both of whom said thank you which lifted my heart.
Kettle on, stretch, drink water while tea cools and come here to say thank you.
My feet, ankles and calves felt great, I will keep those up. I’ve always known I can’t balance on one leg but just maybe I can get a bit better at it! 😀
Now…..back to the earbuds,
