Trip to London, Abba night, morning run, breakfast and home again.
Abba was amazing, people stopped us and said how they liked our dresses, couple people even took our photo.
I was determined to run this morning before breakfast, Willow was worried I’d get lost but it’s 46 years since I’ve run in London so I went anyway.
I didn’t get far when I found a park called Waterglades, it was beautiful and I ran alongside the river.
Interval run and enjoyed every minute of it, I didn’t take much notice of the music and pretty much ignored Coach, spent my time looking around and grinning. Saw a few runners who didn’t return my greeting, but no matter I was enjoying myself and covered 3.65k in about 35 minutes, no time to shower or change. Daughter had text 10 minutes from end to say they were at breakfast so text back asking her to get me water and tea.
Willow joined us and after a while I ate hash browns and beans, really never hungry after running but it was there.
Home now after a fantastic couple of days
Be happy all
And those boots, just as uncomfortable as I remembered similar being ….. but it had to be done 🤣🤣🤣

It was fantastic and you wouldn’t have known they weren’t real people, very loud but to be expected, daughter booked it last autumn, the whole thing was wonderful and we had birthday breakfast this morning before coming home
I had to run, I cursed my daughter when she woke me early this morning…. but she knew, I’d have moaned all day if I didn’t run in London…..it’s her birthday so she now has a garmin with a bright red strap, she did say she wasn’t promising to run though
Whoop whoop WillowandSola, you look brilliant. I had those boots in black back in the day. Can you still buy them? It must have been a great evening.. well done for fitting a run in too. No one gets lost anymore with mobile phones and Google maps.
We got boots from Amazon, they might come in black but i don’t recommend them, my poor toes don’t bend like they did in the teens, the evening was amazing and I just had to run
Awesome photo. You both look fab! Glad you had such a good time. I also find the London runners a little reluctant to return smiles and waves when I’ve run there. Must be a city thing I suppose 🤷♂️
That’s just brill! A fabba Abba evening and a run! What a treat, you look amazing. Well done, it sounds like a real success, I know you were really looking forward to it. Well done! 😊😊😊
We were staying around a mile from Abba and our feet breathed a sigh of relief when we took them off, she doesn’t look a bit like me but thank you, she’s the spit of her dads family
That’s amazing, I’d have waved if I’d known, I was so happy that I found a park and would have loved to explore more but I had to get back for breakfast
I really enjoyed it, Willow though was convinced I’d get lost so instead of going for breakfast he sat and tracked me on his phone 😀 which meant we had breakfast together
Fab U LOUS darling!!! If anyone deserves a brilliant weekend it's you, and you are rocking that outfit ❤️( I could never get those boots to fit - probably just as well, I did enough damage with the shoes😬)
Great photos W&S, it reminds me of the parkrun I ran on the 14th May this year, there was an Abba theme because it was the same day as the 2022 Eurovison Song Contest.
Haha - good for you. I'm not surprised you didn't take any notice of Coach or the music. Just soaking up that London atmosphere would've been great. Oh! how I envy you. I remember visiting friends in my first days of C25K and running across Blackheath and in to Greenwich Park where I used to play as a child. I just loved it! It's times like these that make me realise why I enjoy running and wishing I'd started years ago! 😊
