I had my six week check on Monday and got a thumbs up from the technical team. So today I went out for my first run in 6 weeks. I was concerned that my running vest would rub the wound site and so I wore a dressing loosely to protect it but all seemed well. I set out with some trepidation and prepared to be quite slow but I was really pleased, because despite a slow jog I felt very comfortable. The pacemaker didn't feel as if it moved at all and I felt as if I had more energy than I had had before having it fitted. It seems I really did need a pacemaker after all!! I ran with a friend and we managed just under 5K.

That's fantastic 👍🏻 that must have been pretty nerve wracking at first. Great start!

Wow! 👍⏰💓
Just don't tell race organisers that you're a pacemaker runner. They might get the wrong idea. 😆
