Been a bit slow with the updating but my running shoes have been firmly on!
Pleased to say I have now run not one but two 10ks!
My first one felt amazing but I really did struggle near the end (it was a very humid morning and I started a little too quick out the starting blocks). Time: 1:13:22.
My second one (ran yesterday) was a little slower but felt a million times better, I worked on running at a conversational pace for the first 8k and then going for it for the last 2 and this worked SO much better for me! Time: 1:14:33.
2 weeks until Race for Life so I am planning on doing one more 10k next weekend before the race the following Sunday. Then after that… who knows! I would like to work on speed as I do feel so slow sometimes so I have looked at interval training, but I also really enjoy the long runs so I might go for more distance!

Congratulations on completing those first two 10K 's, well done, those times aren't too slow, about the same time as my first two 10K runs, remember to claim your Graduate10 badge. 😊 🏃🏾 🎓
Congratulations girlsjustwannarun! Those first 10ks are so special , and you have done it. If you use the link above you can claim a shiny badge against your name.
Why not try intervals as your short run of the week? They can be great fun. I use the NRC app but you can use lampposts as markers and make your own up.
Reading your post, we’re at such a similar stages! I’ve also run a couple of 10ks with a race coming up and plans for one more before the big day.
Just a massive congratulations for what you’ve already achieved and good luck for your race for life. I’m planning on thinking about what next once mine’s done. It will be interesting to see what we both end up doing!
